From Book to Movie

Okay . . . there are tons of rumors going around about books that are being made into movies and what not, or whether or not a movie people have seen were books before. So i did a little research . . . and here's what i came up with:

Books that have been made into movies and will be released this summer:

in MAY 2009:
  • Angels and Demons by Dan Brown (A/N: this is a terrible adaptation of the novel--do not see it)
in JUNE 2009:
  • Cheri by Colette
  • My Sister's Keeper by Jodi Picoult

in JULY 2009:

  • Public Enemies: America's Greatest Crime Wave and the Birth of the FBI 1933-34 by Bryan Burrough
  • Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince by J.K. Rowling

Awesome! I read a bunch of articles and such about the Uglies movie being made but Scott Westerfield's official site says nothing, then I found this one site where it said the trailer was fan made. It's all confusing so I wasn't completely sure.

me too, but my sources tell me that the film rights HAVE been bought, but it is not for sure going to be made into a movie, at least not for a while

Bookworm: all of my friends read the sisters grimm, but i never got around to it! i'm going to read them this summer (hopefully). and thanks about the layout comment--ive been sort of skittish when it comes to layouts:) lol

And ooh.....I can't wait to see the Uglies movie! Just read the book....it was amazing! Also, the Percy Jackson cast is an all-star one.
